Life Story for
Margie Pritner (Mantooth)
Margie Pritner, age 82, of Yukon passed away Tuesday April 25, 2017 in OKC. She was born Nov 3, 1934 in Sterling, TX and had been living in Yukon since the early 1960’s. She was the owner, operator of her flower shop, Pritner’s Flowers, which she established in her home in Yukon in 1963 and later moved the shop to main street. Her son David said “my mother was an incredible florist; she was really good at her craft. Just ask anyone who ever stepped foot in her flower shop over the past 40 plus years and they’ll tell you – Margie knew her flower business and all that pertained. I’ve been told that she worked in some way or other in a flower shop from the time she was a small girl of 12 living in Texas, so that’s about 70 years of tending flowers. Yep, she knew flowers”. Her son Mike said “she was the most selfless, hard-working woman I ever knew. My mother was in many ways the most influential person in my life”. Margie was very devoted to her family and very proud of her sons and their families. She leaves behind many memories made in the flower shop and many life lessons taught to her family. Margie will be greatly missed by her family, friends and customers. Survivors include her sons Mike Pritner of Yukon and David Pritner and his wife Erica of Yukon, three grandchildren Dustin, Sean and Hannah and a step grandson Bo Lair. Per Margie’s wishes there will be no formal services, but the family will host a come and go reception to greet and visit with friends on Saturday May 6 from 2PM until 4PM in the reception room at Smith & Turner Mortuary in Yukon. Friends may sign our online guest book at www.smith-turnermortuary.com. Arrangements are by Smith & Turner Mortuary in Yukon.
