Obituary for Peter HIll III

Peter HIll III
Peter H. Hill III was born on June 12, 1946 in Maryland and went to his heavenly home on May 14, 2017 in Yukon, Oklahoma after a long illness. He was the son of late Peter Hill, Jr. and Dorothy Mahaney. His early years were spent in the Washington DC area, and then moved with his family to Little Rock, Arkansas area. He was a Marine Reservist for 6 years. He attended Little Rock College which later became the University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a major in Cultural Anthropology. He worked for many years in the banking field and retired from American Airlines. He was an avid reader and Trivial Pursuit player in his later years, and managed to remain undefeated. He also played Santa Claus for 30 years and was always ready to tell a joke to make someone smile.
He is survived by his wife, Dr. Pamela Hill of Yukon, OK and two daughters, Shauna Hill and Traci Willis, both of Maumelle, AR. He also had three step-children that he loved as his own, Patricia Cook of Piedmont, OK and Phillip Walker and Paula Kapper of Fort Worth, TX. He is survived by 9 grandchildren.
Per his wishes, he will be cremated. In leau of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Heart Association or the National Cancer Society. A remembrance celebration will be held on Saturday, May 20th at the family home from 4-6 pm.
