The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Sophia Manning can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Life Story for Sophia Manning

Sophia Claire Manning was stillborn to parents Mitchell and Dana Manning on October 5th, 2017. Although she was not healthy enough to survive and have a life story in this world, she has a life story in our world. We called her ‘Little Foot’ since finding out about her. Our story was just beginning.

She had many ultrasounds. One was special enough to be recorded for us to see her hiccups, sucking on her hands and fingers, and the recording of her heartbeat. We will always have those to watch and listen to. Mom felt the first flutters, dad felt her big kicks and wiggles, and enjoyed loudly yelling into mom’s stomach how much he loves his ‘Little foot”.

“I’ll be with you, even if you can’t see me.”
“Some things you see with your eyes. Others, with your heart.”

Our family would like to thank our loving nurses; Jessie and Carlie, as well as the rest of the labor and delivery staff at Integris Canadian Valley Hospital.
