Obituary for Van "Pee Wee" Brown

Van Dwight Brown “Pee Wee,” Yukon resident since 1973, passed away on Wednesday January 3, 2018 at the age of 82. He was born April 28, 1935, in Cogar, Oklahoma to Glen Brown and Fern (Myers) Brown.
“Pee Wee” worked at Mid Continent Co-Op for many years. Following retirement, he kept busy in various types of maintenance work. Pee Wee was a real live cowboy, and enjoyed his country life with his wife, Carolyn and his family which included his many horses from his first “Champ” all the way down to his last horse, “Romeo”. Pee Wee had a deep love for his horses, and enjoyed riding in parades with the Mustang Round Up Club and the Minco Round Up Club. Pee Wee also loved auctions with livestock.
Pee Wee is survived by his wife Carolyn, two sons, Rocky Van Brown and Mikel Dewight Brown, two daughters, Rhonda LeCory, and Peggy Longdria, three sisters, Betty Hatcher, Joy Cob and Ina Mae Sweet. He is also survived by four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
