Eula Mae Wilson passed away from natural causes at her home at Colonial Lodge (Tender Care) in Greenville, TX on January 13, 2018. She was 86.
Eula was born in Sayre, Oklahoma on June 17, 1931 to Richard and Jewell Daniel. She married William Henry Edwards, Sr. (he went by Henry) on December 27, 1950. Henry was an airman in the Air Force at the time and retired as a staff sergeant in 1970 after 20 years of service. After his retirement, the family moved to Yukon, OK. They had two sons Larry Wayne Edwards and William “Bill” Henry Edwards, Jr. After her husband Henry’s death in November 1979, she married George Wilson on May 23, 1982. He was retired from the Navy and in the Air Force reserves. He also worked for and retired from the postal service after 27 years of service. After George’s death in February 1995, she moved to Greenville, TX to be nearer to her son Bill and his family.
Eula spent much of her time taking care of her husband Henry after his retirement and son Larry who both had myotonic muscular dystrophy. She loved the Lord and was very active in church and choir. She also taught Sunday School for several years and was part of the WMU.
Eula is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Sandra Edwards, her brother, Billy Pendleton of Tennessee, her sister, Evelyn Swandi of Oklahoma, sister-in-law, Margaret Daniel of Texas, sister-in-law, Sue Edwards of Oklahoma, 3 grandchildren, Ginger Edwards, Emily Blankinship, and Alicia Edwards all of Texas, and 5 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Henry, her second husband, George, her oldest son, Larry, her brothers Vernon Pendleton and William Afton Daniel, and her sister Rheda.
