Life Story for Carolyn Ross (Cooley)

Carolyn Sue Ross entered heaven’s gates on April 14, 2018. She was born in Oklahoma City to Wester and Helen Cooley on August 11, 1948. Carolyn was a Registered Nurse and worked at Turning Point Substance Abuse Center with a passion for counseling and helping patients. She was an avid Sooners fan, loved to travel the world, and enjoyed time on the beach. Carolyn loved to drink coffee, eat dark chocolate and to take long naps. She had a cup of coffee every morning, noon, and night, and always had a big bowl of dark chocolate on her coffee table. She loved her naps, not 20 minute power naps, but long 3 to 4 hour naps. When David first took Twila to meet Carolyn, she had a cup of coffee and dark chocolate in her hands. Twila knew she had hit the mother in-law jackpot! Carolyn’s five kitties were the love of her life. She was a member of the Victory Christian Fellowship Church in Yukon. She is survived by her son Dave & wife Twila Jackson, sister Sandra & husband Gary Wilson, three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Carolyn loved her Lord and is now by his side. A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday April 18, 2018 at 2:00pm at Victory Christian Church in Yukon with burial following in the Yukon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pets & People in Yukon. Friends may sign our on line guest book at www.smith-turnermortuary.com. Services are under the direction of Smith & Turner Mortuary.
