Anita Marie McBroom, 65 of Hydro, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018. Anita was born on December 15, 1952 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Martin Graumann and Lorna Marie Peters.
Following high school, Anita was known for venturing into a variety of choices for her career. From powder puff derby racing to factory work, Anita always gave it her all. Anita also had many hobbies, such as crocheting and embroidery, and her handy work became very popular on eBay as well as her Mitza Club, a local group for those who lived in the country, farmed, made crafts, and shared recipes. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, almost as much as she loved her horses. Anita’s passion for horses led her to fulfill her dream through the adoption of her wild mustang, who she named Sangria. Anita had a relationship with each of her four horses in a very special way. She “tamed” Sangria, Flame “inflated her bubble”, Maranda was her “pasture pony” and her newborn Merlot was born to Flame and Maranda on May 5, 2018. In addition to her love for her horses, she loved to help people whenever she could. She would help move them or whatever they needed doing and then add a little handmade gift as a housewarming present. Her kindness and friendliness made people feel like family. She also loved her fur babies, Lucy and Buddy, and her “something hairless” babies, Joker and Chloe. Most of all Anita loved and cherished her family, spending time camping with them and making her crafts for them.
Anita is survived by her husband Gary, 2 sons Scott Luker, Justin Kirkland and wife Lenorah, 1 daughter Rosanna Woodridge, grandchildren Arial, Austin, Mikey, Ethan, Morgan, Rosie, Nathan, Waylon, Colton, Dalton, Scotty Jr. , Jade and Jesse. She is also survived by two sisters, Alberta Manry and Loretta Elliott, sister-in-law Leigh Ann Penick, two nephews, Steven Elliott, and John Elliott, and two nieces Shelli Lamb and Kaleigh Richards.
Anita is preceded in death by daughter Jennifer Kirkland, and two brothers William Graumann and John Graumann.
