Joseph “Joe” Donald Williams left this earth on December 21, 2018 at the age of 56. He was a long-time resident of Yukon and well-known around the community for his job at the Yukon Walmart. Joe was born on September 21, 1962 to Geraldine Clara (Markus) and Donald Wayne Williams. Polite, caring, kind, and helpful are words that describe Joe’s life and how he treated everyone. He was known to give more than he was asked and always had a smile on his face. Many people in Yukon wish we “had more people like Joe” in the service industry. He will be missed by not only his family and son Tyler, but the community as well.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents Geraldine and Donald Williams, and sister Patty. He is survived by son Tyler Williams, brothers Mike Knudson and Wayne Williams, sisters Diane Leydecker and Pam Williams, and other nieces and nephews. Joe’s funeral service will be Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2 PM at the Dale Robertson Center in Yukon, OK. A community come-and-go gathering will be held from 3 – 4 PM after the service. In Lieu of flower please contact Smith & Turner Mortuary to donate to Tyler's school fund. Services are under the direction of Smith & Turner Mortuary in Yukon, OK.

Joe I’m gonna miss our time working together at the Yukon Walmart lawn and garden department. The times we would talk every day about Trump’s tweets and his shenanigans, we would crack up like crazy. I remember how I would give you a hard time about your obsession with Mountain Dew! You’re a great guy Joe and I’m gonna miss you. Take care bud and can’t wait to see you up there someday.

Joe was such a kind, compassionate soul. He made other people smile with his contagiously happy personality. He was a great neighbor and we will miss him. Our deepest sympathies to his family and friends during this difficult time.

What a tragic loss not only to his family and friends, but to the entire commnity. Joe was a truly good person, always ready to help and always happy. I don’t think there was anyone in town didn’t know him. I know he will be missed by all.
